Fluffy ducklings in Jochberg in the Tyrolean district of Kitzbühel owe their lives to a thoughtful local resident. The little runaways were trapped under a pasture grid. Thanks to the fire brigade, they are reunited with their mother.
A local resident became aware of the chicks’ predicament. On Monday afternoon around 3 p.m. he heard the cries of the mother duck in the area of the Römerweg. Shortly afterwards, the man also heard the small animals’ cries for help. When he discovered that the feathered boys were trapped under a pasture grid, he called in the Floriani disciples.
Freed with a wheel loader
After a local inspection by fire chief Florian Stanger, one of his comrades arrived with a wheel loader. This allowed the pasture grid to be raised. A total of eight ducks owe their lives to both the residents and the Floriani disciples.
The little animals have now been reunited with their mother.
