After the brutal crime against an Italian woman (40) living in Innsbruck became known, the Oberlandesgericht Innsbruck (OLG) now spoke out. The dispute with her ex-partner over custody of her children was said to have been resolved on Monday.
The Russian-born woman from Italy, who lived in Innsbruck, was allegedly murdered by her ex-partner in the northern Italian city of Modena. The reason was said to have been a dispute about the right to care for the ex-couple’s children. This is what studies have shown. The victim had initiated proceedings at the court in Innsbruck.
As the Higher Regional Court announced in a broadcast, an amicable settlement had already been reached for the detention on Monday. Here is the exact wording: “On June 10, 2024, the parents, both represented by lawyers, reached an amicable settlement in court regarding the custody of their two children. A judicial decision was therefore no longer necessary. According to the agreement reached by the parents, both were entitled to custody.”
On May 17, 2023, the court ruled that the children had to live with their mother. The father was given visitation rights.
Now the 40-year-old’s body has been found in the boot of the ex-partner’s van. He confessed to the crime and was arrested after going to the police himself. According to reports in the Italian media, the woman was strangled.
