Already in December 2019, the “Krone” wrote about the decline of Zell’s schools – with a clear quote as the title: “Schools urgently need to be renovated.” The Zell town hall quickly agreed to move in right in the city center. And everyone was involved – even the students themselves were allowed to put their thoughts and ideas into practice. The politicians, together with architects and planners, quickly launched a project that, in addition to the new primary school and secondary school, also included new spaces for sports and music clubs – keyword community music – as well as a double gymnasium and a city library. The planned school renovation gave rise to the vision of a ‘center for education, culture and sports’. The city council voted in favor of it in September.
