On Monday, the six Germans climbed from Baad (Kleinwalsertal) via the middle and upper Spitalalpe towards the Upper Derrenalpe. The hikers got stuck on a hiking trail between the upper Spitalalpe and the upper Derrenalpe after crossing some old snowfields.
Because the group, consisting of six people between the ages of 24 and 61, did not dare to descend from about 1,800 meters above sea level, the sextet eventually informed rescuers. Due to the fog and rain, a helicopter operation was not possible.
Accompanied the group to the valley
The mountain rescuers from Mittelberg set out on foot and ensured that the six Germans arrived back in the valley unharmed. In addition to the Mittelberg mountain rescue service, the Kleinwalsertal Alpine Police was also present.
