Farm equipment destroyed – 70 households without power due to major fire

Date:

A farm in Waizenkirchen in Upper Austria burned down completely on Monday evening. That is why a medium-voltage line apparently had to be switched off and about 70 households were without power. It was not the only fire action during the night.

On Sunday evening around 10 p.m., twelve fire brigades in Waizenkirchen were alerted: a farmer’s bag was completely on fire. Fortunately, the building was probably empty, and at least no one was injured in the fire.

Power off
The fire – the cause is still unclear – also affected about 70 households in Waizenkirchen and Prambachkirchen. The medium-voltage line and transformer station next to the destroyed farmer’s bag apparently had to be removed, leaving approximately 70 customer systems without electricity.

Two injured in fire in Laube
It was not the only nighttime fire in Upper Austria. In Andorf, four fire brigades responded simultaneously because a garden shed had caught fire. The rescue team had to transport two people to hospital due to suspected smoke inhalation.
