An accident took place on the Pinzgauer Bundesstraße (B311) in St. Veit on Sunday evening around 5 p.m.: A motorist wanted to steer into a parking lot despite the turning ban. A driver behind him overtook on the left, resulting in a collision.
According to the police, the local motorist (31) was driving in the direction of St. Johann: She wanted to turn left at 100 km/h into a parking lot, even though turning there was not allowed. The driver of the car behind her, also a resident (46), did not recognize a turning maneuver and overtook on the left. This led to a collision.
The rescue service took the injured to hospital
As a result of the collision, both the driver and passengers in the 46-year-old’s car – his partner and two children – were injured. The Red Cross treated the wounded and took them to the hospital in Schwarzach.
Meanwhile, the volunteer fire brigade with 30 emergency services reached the accident site and carried out cleaning work. The B311 was closed in the area for approximately 40 minutes.
