Police operation on the Europaplatz in front of the Vienna Westbahnhof: an arrest took place there shortly before midnight on Tuesday. Because a snack bar owner wanted to settle a dispute between three people, a stranger threatened to kill him and another woman was injured.
According to police, a 37-year-old man threatened the operator: “I will kill you!” The suspect is said to have previously broken a glass bottle and entered the stand. The man then fled.

When emergency services arrived on scene, they found a woman on the ground with injuries. It soon became clear that the seller wanted to resolve a dispute between the victim and the 37-year-old with his female companion – the attack and threat then took place. The injured woman was taken to hospital.
Suspects were drunk
Thanks to the accurate identification of the persons, the officers were able to quickly locate and arrest the 37-year-old and a 24-year-old woman. According to police spokesman Mattias Schuster, the two are currently in police custody. The suspects were drunk.
