Loud music and shouting partygoers deprived residents around the ORF center on Küniglberg of their sleep on Thursday evening. The police have also already been warned.
There was a lot of fun on Thursday evening on the public broadcaster during the European Championship match between Spain and Italy. Much to the chagrin of the residents around the ORF center on Küniglberg – some of whom reported to the “Krone”.
“Growing around until two o’clock in the morning”
An indignant neighbor: “My grandchild can’t sleep.” Apparently it is not the first time that there has been an exuberant celebration on state radio: “We hope that drunkards will not start shouting again until two o’clock – as has already happened,” describes the angry neighbor.
Various complaints to the police
When we asked the police, they said the event was approved until 10pm. However, several complaints have already been received by the Lainzer Straße police station in Vienna-Hietzing – and the illustrious society on Küniglberg has already been informed of the impending consequences. If the party is not much quieter after 10 p.m., the police will have to take action; there is a risk of charges for disturbing the peace.
There was no statement from ORF at this late hour. We can only hope that people there still think about the residents’ night’s sleep.
