Taylor Swift in the crosshairs – climate activists spray private jets in London

Two activists from the group ‘Just Stop Oil’ gained access to the grounds of London Stansted Airport on Thursday and sprayed two private jets parked there with orange paint. The two women were arrested.

According to “Just Stop Oil”, Stansted Airport, which is located 55 kilometers northeast of London in the province of Sussex, was also home to the private jet of pop superstar Taylor Swift, who is currently touring England and always does so because of her quite intensive use of private jets is again being criticized by environmentalists.

In late July 2022, sustainability marketing company Yard Group ranked Swift number one on its list of “worst private jet carbon emissions offenders.” At the time, their total flight emissions in the first half of the year were said to be nearly 8,300 tons.
