An asylum seeker from Chechnya allegedly groped several children in an outdoor swimming pool in Traiskirchen (Lower Austria). Two girls reported the incident. Another man was arrested as a suspected accomplice.
It should have been a fun day at the beach for the ten-year-old students, but that was abruptly ended by two men. While the girls were swimming in the pool, one of the two asylum seekers allegedly touched them inappropriately. Another man is listed in police documents as an informant and is also under investigation.

The children immediately reported the incident to their mother and the lifeguard. Police were called and the men, aged 29 and 30, were eventually taken to the outdoor pool changing room and taken into custody.
Six victims so far
During the police interrogation the next day, the suspected perpetrator was clearly identified by the girls in a photo. There are said to be a total of six victims: five girls and one boy. Pre-trial detention has now been imposed on both asylum seekers.
