After child abuse – Lower Austria: Asylum seeker beats man into hospital with belt

Date:

Incredible scenes took place in Horn (Lower Austria) on Friday evening. A 35-year-old Afghan man went crazy in the church square and abused his victims with his belt. One ended up in intensive care with serious head injuries. The perpetrator is said to have previously sexually harassed two girls.

Emergency services were called to the church square shortly after 9 p.m. on Friday. The news made their blood run cold: the thorn from a belt buckle was stuck in a man’s head. He was said to have been hit on the head in a whip-like manner by a 35-year-old Afghan shortly before. The victim had to be flown to hospital by emergency helicopter and emergency surgery saved his life.

Two girls touched each other inappropriately
A total of two other people were reportedly injured by the asylum seeker during the altercation. The reason for the dispute is still under investigation. The crime was probably related to an assault a week earlier in the Horn city lake, as police confirmed upon request. There, the same man allegedly inappropriately touched a 14- and a 15-year-old girl. He is also accused of taking photos of other young people and talking to them.

The asylum seeker was temporarily arrested at the time, but was then released. Because the man had already acted violently on several occasions and, among other things, allegedly destroyed the door of the asylum center, some officers signaled a “judicial scandal” because the 35-year-old was still at large. before Friday’s brutal act. He is now in custody.
