EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said after the Council of Foreign Ministers in Luxembourg that the “common political will” would now be translated into concrete measures. The chief diplomat gave no details.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army says it is about to announce the destruction of a brigade of the Palestinian terror organization Hamas in Rafah. What is meant is that “it is not defeated in the sense that there are no more terrorists, but in the sense that it can no longer function as a fighting unit,” the report said.
Netanyahu: “Intensive phase of fighting nears end”
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a television interview on Sunday: “The intensive phase of the fight against Hamas is about to end.” Hamas has not yet made a statement.
