A brazen thief went shopping for free in Gablitz in the St. Pölten district on June 22. The previously unknown man entered a drugstore around 3:05 p.m. and grabbed six perfume bottles. However, the observant branch manager noticed this and spoke to the criminal immediately. The man then fired a burst of pepper spray and ran off with the odorous stolen goods.
The branch manager and another employee were injured in the attack and had to receive medical care at the Tulln State Hospital. An immediately launched search was unsuccessful. The police are now asking for information about the perpetrator. Who knows this man? He is said to have stolen two perfumes from a drugstore in Sieghartskirchen in the Tulln district 30 minutes before the robbery in Gablitz. The total damage amounts to around 600 euros.
