Serious road accident in morning traffic in Graz: A head-on collision involving three vehicles took place on Thursday morning. Four people, including a child and a teenager, were injured.
Around 7:30 am, a woman (51) from the Graz-Umwelt district drove her car along Thalstrasse towards the city. At the same time, a 54-year-old and a 46-year-old drove their vehicles into the city on Thalstrasse. A child and a teenager (13 and 15 years old) were in the 46-year-old’s vehicle. The 51-year-old may have driven into oncoming traffic due to fatigue.
Large-scale deployment of rescue workers
First she hit the side of the 54-year-old’s car, followed by a head-on collision with the 46-year-old’s car. As a result of the accident, four people suffered minor injuries. They were taken by emergency services to the Graz State Hospital and to the pediatric surgery department for further treatment. Thalstrasse had to be closed to all traffic for over an hour.
