On the road with a test driver’s license, too fast and drunk: Thursday evening a 17-year-old slipped his car in Wollsdorf (Styrian district of Weiz) and collided with an oncoming vehicle. The 29-year-old driver was injured.
At about 8.45 pm the young man was on the B64 Rechbergstrasse, coming from Weiz in the direction of Gleisdorf. According to his own statements, he should have skidded due to excessive speed and ended up in the oncoming lane, police said. He collided with an oncoming car, driven by a 29-year-old.
The driver, from the Weiz district, suffered minor injuries in the accident and was taken to hospital. Both cars were declared a total loss. The driver’s license holder on probation, also from the Weiz district, turned out to be slightly under the influence of alcohol.
