Fatal accident Saturday evening in Tiroler Zirl (Innsbruck-Land district): A six-year-old boy was hit by a car and thrown into the street. The child suffered serious injuries.
The serious accident happened just before 7 p.m., according to police. A French driver (40) was driving west on B171 Tiroler Straße when the boy was about to cross the road.
Catapulted on the street
The driver of the car was unable to react in time and collided head-on with the six-year-old. The child was thrown into the street and suffered serious injuries.
After first aid at the accident site, the boy was taken by ambulance to the Innsbruck clinic.
