On Saturday morning, the Viennese police in Ottakring were alerted after a previously unknown person had robbed a jewelry store with a weapon. Since then, there has been no trace of him.
Around 11:00, the unknown man stormed the store and threatened the owner with a gun. He demanded that he hand over all the money. He then fled. According to the police, he allegedly forced a motorist to give him a ride.

He then got out again at Ortliebgasse and fled on foot. Since then, police have been looking for the suspect. However, so far without success. Published mugshots are now expected to provide further clues. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
