The Vienna police are searching for a fake police officer who allegedly broke into the apartment of a 25-year-old woman and brutally beat her up. The incident had already taken place at the end of March and now a ghost image of the perpetrator has finally emerged.
The brutal home invasion took place on March 26 in Favoriten. As described by Vienna police, the suspect visited the victim’s home around 10 p.m. The unknown person posed as a police officer and allegedly demanded payment of suspected unpaid fines.
Depressed and pillows pressed against face
“When the woman assured her that she had no more outstanding fines, the unknown man entered the apartment, demanded more and more violently for cash and jewelry and looked around the apartment,” said police spokesman Markus Dittrich. However, when the robber could not find what he was looking for, he allegedly threatened the victim, knocked him down and then made him unconscious with a sofa cushion. He then fled without any loot.
After the traumatic and brutal event, investigators are looking for the perpetrator. For this reason, a phantom image of the person was made, as well as an accurate description of the alleged perpetrator. It is said that it is a man of about 20 to 30 years old. He is also a rather feminine/androgynous man. His body shape is athletic and trained. The suspect also has long blond hair and an eyebrow piercing.
During the crime, he is said to have worn clothing with the words “Police” written on it.
