On Monday afternoon, a bloody altercation took place between two men in Vienna-Favoriten. The 24-year-old had previously stolen the 19-year-old’s bike.
As he fled on his bike, the 19-year-old chased the 24-year-old. The fugitive then threw a bottle at him. The pursuer then grabbed the now broken bottle again and threw it at the older man’s head.
Bloody quarrel
The 24-year-old jumped off his bike and a fight broke out on the street. Both hit each other. According to the police, the 19-year-old also pulled out a knife disguised as a key and injured the 24-year-old with it.
Attentive witnesses immediately alerted the police. Initially, both persons were temporarily arrested. Shortly afterwards, however, the arrest of the 24-year-old was reversed. The rescue workers took the injured man to the hospital.
The 19-year-old had a knife with him
The 19-year-old also had his illegal weapon seized. He is reportedly at large on charges of violating the Arms Act and on suspicion of intentionally causing serious bodily harm.
The 24-year-old has been charged with suspicion of theft.
