Brutal attack on Tuesday evening in Tyrol’s Ötztal: a traffic hooligan who had previously overtaken a 30-year-old female driver on a single-lane roundabout (!) got out at red light, walked back to the woman’s car and attacked her through the open window. After the attack, the perpetrator fled.
The brutal attack took place around 6:45 p.m. in Längenfeld. The 30-year-old local woman was driving her car out of the valley on the B186 Ötztalstraße when a car with a German license plate suddenly appeared behind her.
Aggressive maneuver on roundabout
And the driver was clearly in a hurry. “On a single-lane roundabout, he suddenly overtook the 30-year-old’s car in an aggressive and reckless manner,” the police reported.
But that’s not all: a short time later, both the suspected traffic hooligan and the woman had to stop at a red light. “Then the driver suddenly got out, walked back to the woman’s car and punched her twice in the face with his fist through the open window on the driver’s side,” the investigators continued.
Attacker fled, license plate known
The 30-year-old was injured and had to be treated by emergency services at the scene. The German driver fled after the attack. A search has been unsuccessful so far. But it will probably only be a matter of time before he is caught. The license plate is known to the police.
