On Thursday evening, a local woman fell into a ditch in the Trattenbachtal in Wald im Pinzgau. The 34-year-old fell unconscious after making an emergency call. Mountain rescue dog “Amy” saved the woman’s life shortly before midnight!
The experienced and off-road woman fell into a ditch with her mountain bike in the Trattenbachtal on Thursday evening and injured herself. Due to her injuries, she could not get out of the ditch, so she called the emergency call. Almost thirty mountain rescuers went out and searched the difficult terrain for the 34-year-old.
Found by “Amy”.
“However, the connection to the emergency call was interrupted,” reports Albert Kogler, head of operations at the Neukirchen mountain rescue service. “The injured person could no longer be reached by telephone. We were unable to determine the exact location of the accident.” Shortly before midnight, Kaprun dog handler Markus Stemberger and his Austrian Pinscher “Amy” found the injured person unconscious in a difficult-to-access ditch.
The climber may have fallen over a rock face. The crash site was not in the vicinity of the bike. After the difficult rescue and first aid of the emergency doctor, she was taken to the hospital in Zell am See.
