Saturday morning there was an accident on the A2 South motorway. A father was driving with his wife and child towards Klagenfurt when he fell asleep and the car overturned. But the accident ended lightly for the family: they escaped with minor injuries.
A man, his wife and their few-month-old baby were driving on the A2 near Lieboch shortly after six o’clock on Saturday morning when dangerous scenes occurred: the father apparently fell into a microsleep, jerked the steering wheel and caused the car to skid, according to the Styrian police.
Blessing in disguise
The car overturned, but the family was lucky with bad luck. When the rescue team arrived at the scene of the accident, it turned out that all three of them had only minor injuries. They were taken to the hospital for examination and the mother had to stay overnight. The following vehicles were not involved in the accident.
