On Saturday evening, a police patrol in Telfs in Tyrol found three young men (18) suspiciously on two motorcycles. When they wanted to check the trio, two men fled – not without reason.
It was already past midnight when the three 18-year-old Austrians stopped on their motorbikes at a petrol station in Telfs. The police found that at least one of the bikes had been reported stolen. So they wanted to confront the trio.
Escape by motorbike and on foot
Two of the 18-year-olds then tried to flee on the motorcycles. However, this was prevented. The young man then managed to escape on foot.
A search led to the perpetrators
The escapee left the stolen motorcycle behind. This was secured and the third 18-year-old was provisionally arrested. His two friends did not get far either. Shortly before 03:00 they were arrested in Oberhofen. They are said to have stolen two motorcycles. Which they had with them on their journey and a second bicycle that was confiscated a short time later on the Inn cycle path in Telfs.
Two of the men are still in custody
As police announced Saturday, two of the 18-year-olds remain in custody. They are accused of further crimes. The arrest of the third party in the group has since been lifted. But the young man is not off the map. Advertisement to follow.
