The cat owner saw a heartbreaking photo on Sunday evening around 8 p.m. He found his missing cat “Boss,” shot and seriously injured, in the garden of a residential complex in the Vandans community in Vorarlberg.
Tomcat “Boss” left his owner’s apartment on the night of Saturday to Sunday and did not return in the morning. The concerned cat owner went on a desperate search for the four-legged friend, a tomcat of the breed “Maine Coon”.
Help at the veterinary clinic
After finally finding the injured “boss” who could not return home on his own, the owner immediately took the cat to the veterinary clinic. An X-ray revealed that a projectile was lodged in the furry friend’s body. An unknown person fired at least one shot at the defenseless cat.
The Schrun police are currently investigating animal abuse and are requesting information about this (telephone 059/133-8107).
