Successful cooperation between Swiss and Vorarlberg police officers: Friday evening in Lucerne, Switzerland, a Cadillac Escalade was reported stolen. The colleagues from Vorarlberg were asked to help with the search, which they did.
At 22:50, a patrol from the police station on the Bludenz motorway noticed the Cadillac – it was currently on the L197 and was heading towards the Arlberg Pass. The officers stopped the car at the Stuben am Arlberg checkpoint.
The driver, a 50-year-old man with erratic behavior, was temporarily arrested and the vehicle was seized. An alcohol test on the driver was positive and his driver’s license was confiscated on the spot. The National Criminal Investigation Department then took over the further investigation.
