Saturday night there was a more than unexpected turn at the musical Robin Hood in the Music Theatre of Linz. The performance in the well-attended hall had to be interrupted for a quarter of an hour due to an incident. But fortunately it continued afterwards. And that was the reason.
Things can be dangerous in Sherwood Forest – visitors to the musical Robin Hood at the Linz Music Theatre know that. However, an incident occurred during the performance on Saturday that was as surprising as it was unusual. At 9:56 p.m., the performance was suddenly interrupted and the curtain fell. Even the two actors who had just taken to the stage were surprised.
The audience was initially stunned and the lights came up. “Then there was an announcement that there was a short interruption. There was some commotion in the room, there was muttering, a few people stood up,” says one visitor.
Actor explained the situation
After about ten minutes, the clarification came: an actor came to stand in front of the still closed curtain and said that one of his colleagues had been injured and was on his way to the hospital. The play would have to continue soon. That was the case, the performance continued around 22:10 and was played to the end.
“A dancer collapsed, but everything is fine again, she is fine,” explains Philip Brunnader, press spokesman for the music theater. The “Krone” wishes you a speedy recovery at this point. The widely acclaimed musical can be seen until July 28.
