A quarrel between a 29-year-old man and his 43-year-old ex-wife escalated completely on Sunday evening. In the presence of several police officers, he kicked the woman in the face, who was already lying on the ground.
The police officers were actually only supposed to direct traffic in the Villacher Straße/Metnitzstrand area during the Fanta Vier concert in the East Bay, when they suddenly noticed that two people were arguing in Europa Park. Then everything happened in quick succession: “Shortly afterwards, the woman dropped an object and when she bent down, the man gave her a push with both hands, causing her to fall,” says the state police headquarters.
Ex-wife kicked in the face
When the woman was already on her knees on the ground, the aggressive Carinthian went one step further: “The 29-year-old stood with his back to the woman, pulled his leg back and kicked her in the face with his hand. outstretched leg”, the officers describe what they saw with their own eyes. They immediately came to the woman’s aid. She was lying on her back in the meadow.
Heavy drunkenness
The ex-husband ran towards the police officers and did not stop despite repeated requests, so the officers had to use emergency equipment to bring him to the ground and arrest him. Why did the 29-year-old panic so much? “Due to his severe intoxication, he could not be questioned and was transferred to the Klagenfurt police detention center.”
The injured woman from the Klagenfurt-Land district was taken to the accident hospital by ambulance after receiving first aid from other police officers. A ban on entering and approaching the man was issued, as well as a temporary weapons ban.
