The Tyrolean police carried out speed checks on Tuesday afternoon in the Eibergstrasse near Söll. A motorcyclist (63) was found driving at much too high a speed. The police started the pursuit of the speeding offender.
Shortly before 5 p.m., the 63-year-old was attacked by police on his motorcycle. In a 70-zone, the Austrian was measured at a speed of no less than 153 km/h. “Minus the tolerance, the speed limit is 78 km/h,” the director explains.
The officers chased the speeder and arrested him a short time later. The 63-year-old’s driver’s license and motorcycle were confiscated on the spot. A report will be made to the district administration.
