Police reported sad news about the 64-year-old local resident who fell from a ladder on Tuesday after working on concrete formwork. The man, who was taken to hospital in Innsbruck with serious injuries, died.
The 64-year-old was standing on a ladder in a facility in Völs (Innsbruck-Land district) at around 9:10 a.m. on Tuesday and was working on concrete formwork. For unknown reasons, he fell about three meters and hit the concrete floor.
As reported, he remained motionless. “The construction manager immediately started the rescue chain and provided first aid,” police said Tuesday. He was then admitted to the clinic in Innsbruck.
The sad news came on Wednesday: the 64-year-old died early Tuesday evening in the clinic from his serious injuries.
