Wednesday afternoon a strange incident took place in Oberndorf (Kitzbühel district)! A 54-year-old Dutchman went off the road in his convertible and slid over steep terrain. The driver was probably drunk.
The ride of a 54-year-old Dutchman in his convertible came to an abrupt end shortly before 3 p.m. on Wednesday. In Oberndorf, the man left the road for unknown reasons and slid down an adjacent, steep meadow. His speedster eventually crashed into a group of trees, preventing a new crash.
Drunk driver?
When the driver got out, he fell on the steep terrain and suffered minor injuries. Eyewitnesses reported that the man was ‘stumbling around on the road’. However, he refused to take an alcohol test.
After initial treatment, the 54-year-old was eventually taken by ambulance to the St. Johann district hospital. The Oberdorf fire department secured the convertible. The Dutchman is shown.
