Serious accident Friday in Tyrol’s Zillertal. During a tandem flight, a German woman (37) fell during take-off. She was seriously injured in the subsequent tilt.
The accident happened shortly before 09:30. The tandem pilot wanted to make a flight with the 37-year-old from Penken to Mayrhofen. But already in the start phase – shortly before take-off – the German fell.
Overtaken by umbrella hood
The duo was then overtaken by the canopy, causing them to tip over. The 37-year-old suffered serious injuries to her upper body. After initial treatment, she was flown to the clinic in Innsbruck by the emergency doctor. The pilot was lucky and remained unharmed.
