It would be some sort of ‘team building’ event from a company that should have been supervised
At least 25 people were injured at a private party in the Swiss city of Zurich on Tuesday, local authorities said after walking on embers as part of a ritual.
Of the total number of injured, 13 had to be taken to a hospital with serious injuries. Moreover, the pain of the burns did not occur immediately, but with a delay, reports ‘Tages Anzeiger’.
At around 6:00 PM (local time), the Zurich Protection and Rescue Operations Center received a call reporting that several people had suffered severe burns after walking on hot coals. Due to the high number of injured, health authorities have mobilized ten ambulances, a large rescue vehicle and two emergency medical teams.
Zurich police declined to comment on the incident, but the aforementioned newspaper said it was some sort of “team building” event by a company that should have been under surveillance.
