Late on Tuesday afternoon, police were alerted by concerned neighbors after being informed of a heated argument at a family’s home.
When the police arrived at the apartment in question, they found a 51-year-old woman unconscious on the floor. At the same time, the children, two girls (14, 16) and the father (58) were in the apartment.
The children told officers that a family quarrel had broken out between the parents and the eldest son, who had been there before, after the father had threatened the entire family with death. The father allegedly hit the mother until she was unconscious and then attacked his own son with his fist.
Dad has been taken to hospital
The father, in turn, told the officers that his wife had previously beaten him, injuring his face. While the police were still there, the woman regained consciousness and was able to give her statement. Both received first aid and the suspect was then taken to hospital.
