Shock at the scene of the accident – woman died in accident: man burst into tears

Date:

Heartbreaking scenes unfolded on Sunday after a tragic accident on the B63a in the Oberwart district (Burgenland). A few minutes after a driver (48) had a fatal accident, her husband heard about the drama and burst into tears on the spot. Four victims of the accident, some of them seriously injured, are in hospital.

It is assumed that the Hungarian woman was on her way to work on the B63a towards Oberwart early Sunday morning. However, the woman did not arrive and the journey ended tragically. At around 05:45, the Hungarian’s silver car collided with an oncoming station wagon and a following car for reasons that are still unclear.

An image of horror
All that remained of the vehicles were piles of rubble. The violent collision sent car parts flying and left wreckage strewn across the road within a radius of 150 metres. All help came too late for the Hungarian driver. Two occupants of the other car were seriously injured and two others were slightly injured. All four patients are being treated in hospital.

Family members in shock
When the rescue brigade, the fire brigade, the police and the team of the medical emergency helicopter C16 came into action, the deceased man appeared, accompanied by him, at the scene of the accident. The relatives were in shock. In their grief they burst into tears. Helpers immediately took care of the desperate man.

According to the first information, the accident was probably not a head-on collision. How exactly the fatal collision could have happened is currently being investigated. An expert is also on site.
