Serious accident Tuesday afternoon in an amusement park in Straßwalchen (Flachgau). The operation is currently underway. According to the Red Cross, one person is seriously injured. Support was requested from Upper Austria.
The alarm was received by the emergency services early on Tuesday afternoon: high-altitude rescuers from Ried and Frankenmarkt and from the professional fire brigade of Salzburg were also called.
The accident is believed to have occurred at the Knights Ride Tower. Local emergency services were unable to set up a turntable ladder.
According to initial information, the accident occurred during inspection work. Two workers were trapped and some were seriously injured. Visitors are not affected.
