Steve Jobs’ $265 Million Yacht Crashes Here Off the Coast of Naples

Date:

A dramatic video shows the collision between two mega-yachts – together the floating luxury temples are worth around $265 million. One of the yachts was commissioned by the late Apple founder Steve Jobs and is now owned by his widow.

No wonder the crew loses their cool in this crash, considering the sheer value of the yachts! In the clip currently making the rounds on social media, the 78-meter Venus, once owned by Jobs, heads toward the gangway of the 105-meter Lady Moura off the coast of Naples. The latter luxury vehicle is owned by Mexican billionaire and business mogul Ricardo Salinas.

The mega yacht accident can be seen in this article:

Gust is said to be responsible for the crash
Although the crew of Lady Moura tried to draw attention to the impending collision with loud shouts and horns, a crash could not be prevented. The two ships were said to have been on a collision course due to a gust of wind. The Mexican billionaire himself posted the incident on Twitter.

Scratch will “cost a lot”
Salinas explained that his ship was anchored off the coast when it was rammed by Venus. “The good thing is that it was just a scratch, but it’s a big scratch that’s going to cost a lot to repair, ha ha ha,” the Mexican apparently laughed at the mishap. He urged his followers to buy Apple products “so this joke can be paid for.”

“There is no shortage of assholes”
Salinas then gets a little insulting: “I’m posting the video here so you can see that there’s no shortage of assholes in the world and so you understand how important it is to have a responsible and attentive captain at the helm.

It is also said that Venus was at anchor when the collision occurred. However, their crew blames the other party to the accident: the Lady Moura dropped anchor with twice the length of anchor chain that should have been used. Thus, the Mexican’s ship was blown into Venus.
