An unknown person pulled out a gun in the cash register of a store in the 1st district, demanded money from an employee and fled after handing it over. A search immediately launched by the alerted police yielded nothing. The Vienna State Criminal Investigation Department, Central East Division, has taken over the investigation.

The man pulled out a knife with a blue blade
Shortly before closing time at 6 p.m., another supermarket in Vienna-Meidling became the scene of the crime. Under the pretext of wanting to buy something, an unknown person again threatened an employee at the cash register; this time the murder weapon was a knife with a blue blade. The perpetrator again demanded money and fled with it. Here too, an immediate search was unsuccessful.

Police are asking witnesses for help
In this case, there is a personal description of the suspect. The perpetrator was between 25 and 30 years old, 1.70 to 1.80 meters tall, dark-haired and slim. At the time of the crime, he wore a white mouth and nose mask as a mask and wore black pants, a green-gray shirt with long sleeves and a black T-shirt underneath. He also wore a black baseball cap without a logo, brown sports or hiking shoes and a large black backpack. The Vienna State Criminal Investigation Department, South Department, has taken over the investigation.

Fortunately no one was injured
In both cases, relevant information can also be passed on anonymously at any police station. No one was injured in the two robberies.
