After a fire on Saturday night in Gleisdorf – the fire was apparently started deliberately – a 56-year-old Styrian is in a coma. Although he is fortunately recovering, the fire brigade was called out again on Monday night. The roof of the house had caught fire again.
Saturday evening, a horse farm and residential building in Gleisdorf burned down. When more than a hundred emergency services arrived, the farm building was already completely ablaze. As reported, the 56-year-old resident (his age has been corrected by the police) had to be put into an artificial deep sleep due to his serious injuries. Then on Sunday the horrible realization came: it was arson!
When asked on Monday, police spokesman Heimo Kohlbacher explained that it was a fire that was clearly evident from the two independent points where the fire broke out. A possible arsonist has not yet been identified. While the investigators are still waiting for the questioning of the victim and his wife, the fire brigade was called out again on Monday evening: they had to be deployed again around 1:30 a.m. – the fire had flared up again. The roof was opened extensively and checked with a thermal imaging camera.
However, there is good news from the 56-year-old, who has been in a coma since then. According to the Styrian police, he is on the mend. An investigation could therefore be possible soon.
