Vienna police are currently looking for several unknown men who brutally robbed and injured a 44-year-old at the U6 station Gumpendorfer Straße/Margaretengurtel in early August.
The incident took place on August 1 at around 9:45 p.m. in the outdoor area of the U6 Gumpendorfer Straße/Margaretringe metro station. According to the police, a violent argument broke out between several men and the victim. The 44-year-old suffered deep cuts to his forearm in the attack.
Passerby screamed for help
Shortly afterwards, an attentive passer-by, who was walking with three children, shouted loudly for help, whereupon the strangers let go of the victim and fled. She immediately administered first aid to treat the heavily bleeding wound.
Advice requested
Shortly after, the victim went to the hospital and alerted the police. There is no trace of the suspects and the passerby so far. The police are asking for information.
