Poachers are planning to cause mischief in the Tyrolean lowlands. Police are investigating and are hoping for information from the public. It was a hiker who started the investigation after making a discovery in the forest.
On Wednesday, a hiker reported that he had discovered parts of animal carcasses in the forest at the Reither Kogel under the Rosenkapelle, right next to the municipal road. After cutting up the animals, the poachers probably threw the rest away there.
According to the police, the three chamois were probably shot dead between Monday and Wednesday in the Obere Zillertal or in the Alpbachtal. The investigators speak of ‘inappropriate shooting with a long gun’.
