On Friday afternoon, parts of Graz suffered a power outage due to a technical problem. 2,500 households were affected and in the Graz LKH even the emergency power supply was activated.
The power outage occurred around 3:45 p.m. on Friday near Hilmteichstrasse in the Geidorf district of Graz. The cause was a technical failure; failures were reported at a total of 22 transformer stations. 2,500 households were temporarily without power and several traffic lights were also out of order.
Troublesome: Parts of the LKH Graz were also without power. As planned, the emergency department at the university hospital started with units – the patients were never in danger. Work continued to resolve the fault until late in the afternoon. Shortly after 6 p.m., all faults were resolved.
