The 36-year-old driver probably didn’t see the runner when he pushed her back. The woman was walking in a freely accessible area.
Despite immediate rescue measures, it was not possible to save her life. The emergency doctor who was called managed to resuscitate the jogger on the spot. However, she succumbed to her serious injuries in hospital a short time later.
The telescopic forklift was rented for the dismantling work to remove fences. The 36-year-old is on trial on suspicion of manslaughter due to negligence in traffic.
