A German (29) was seriously injured in an accident with a golf cart in the Tyrolean district of Kitzbühel on Sunday evening. The man was a passenger in the vehicle of a 31-year-old compatriot. The latter was drunk.
Shortly before midnight, the two Germans were driving in the golf cart on the B161 near Pass Thurn towards Kitzbühel.
Taken to hospital with serious injuries
According to witnesses, the electric vehicle suddenly crashed into a stone wall. “As a result of the accident, the 29-year-old passenger was seriously injured and had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital in Zell am See,” the police said.
The breath test was positive
The 31-year-old driver of the golf cart was also injured and was taken by the rescue team to the hospital in St. Johann in Tirol. “A administered alcohol test was positive,” the director said.
