Received social assistance – police caught drug dealers in Pongau

A 30-year-old from Pongau was involved in a drug trade in cannabis herb and amphetamine and has now been unmasked. The police have seized drugs and accessories from his apartment in Bischofshofen. In addition, they were investigating 18 dealers who bought drugs from him.

The Pongauer began building a network from his apartment in September 2022. He operated a drug trade, mainly cannabis herbs and amphetamine, and served dealers on the street.

In early June, the police searched the benefit recipient’s apartment: 550 grams of amphetamine, various cutting agents, other kitchen utensils, a knuckle duster and 2,500 grams of cannabis herb were seized.

This also allowed the police to investigate 18 drug dealers from Pongau who were part of the network. The 30-year-old is now charged with social security fraud and drug trafficking. The buyers are reported under the Narcotics Act.
