As reported, there was a fire at the Binderholz company in Tyrol. Now the cause is clear. Negligence by third parties can therefore be ruled out.
After a fire at the Binderholz company in Jenbach in Tyrol – as reported by the ‘Krone’ last Friday evening, in which two silos on the company premises caught fire, it has now been determined that a technical defect was the cause. The police announced on Monday that foul play can be ruled out. A dust explosion occurred in a silo filled with sawdust, after which the flames spread to a second silo.
Difficult to remove all the embers
No one was injured. The fire was brought under control relatively quickly and there was no danger of a new explosion. However, the final removal of all the embers remained difficult even the next day. The fire caused a major firefighting operation: 110 people from Jenbach and surrounding communities fought the flames.
