One of the biggest innovations on the Pixel 9 – we tested the Pro version – is visible at first glance: Google has given its smartphones a new design. More angular than previous generations; with the striking metal frame, the ninth generation is a little more reminiscent of the smartphones of a Californian competitor than previous Pixels. With the typical Pixel camera bar, now also a little more angular than before, there is still a certain recognition value in it. But design is not everything: exciting innovations can be found under the hood – and in the software enriched with AI algorithms that even enlarge cats.
