A stunt attempt resulted in the death of a motorcyclist (22) and four injured on the Rossfeld Panorama Road in July 2023. A man from Hallein (20) who was filming the motorcycle scenes at the time had to go to court in Bavaria.
The “Krone” reported on the serious accident on July 8, 2023: a young motorcyclist from the Vöcklabruck district (Upper Austria) carried out daring driving maneuvers on the popular Rossfeld panoramic road that summer day. A man from Hallein (20), a motorcyclist himself, was filming. The 22-year-old was clearly too fast, a collision followed.
Family hit by motorcycle
The Upper Austrian died on the spot. The Tennengauer was thrown into a meadow; parts of his leg had to be amputated after the accident. The motorcycle was then thrown against a family who wanted to watch the sunset there. Two girls (7 and 4 at the time) were caught and seriously injured their legs. The pregnant mother suffered abrasions.
A week ago, the Halleiner had to plead guilty to negligent homicide and negligent bodily harm at the Bavarian district court in Laufen. According to media reports, the public prosecutor accused him of breaching his duty of care. However, the court stopped the proceedings: the judge justified this with the considerable injury consequences for the 20-year-old. All parties involved agreed to the termination of the proceedings, various Bavarian media report.
