Spectacular traffic accident late Monday afternoon in Ebbs in the Tyrolean lowlands: a 69-year-old resident lost control of his car, left the road and crashed into a tree. The force of the impact caused the car to overturn and land on its roof. The driver sustained injuries.
The accident occurred shortly before 4:30 p.m. on Wildbichler Straße (B175). The 69-year-old was driving his car from Kufstein towards Ebbs when, for unknown reasons, he lost control and went off the right side of the road.
Lying on the roof in the opposite lane
“The car then hit a tree and overturned. “He eventually came to a stop lying on his roof on the oncoming vehicle,” the police reported. The 69-year-old was able to free himself from the wreckage. A witness started the rescue chain.
With rescue to the hospital
After initial treatment at the scene of the accident, the driver was taken by ambulance to the Kufstein district hospital. “He suffered injuries to his upper body and head,” investigators continued.
During the registration of the accident and the clean-up work, the B175 in the vicinity of the accident site was closed to all traffic until 5:45 PM.
