Horrible accident in New York: In Brooklyn, a man in his thirties was dragged by a subway train. When he got out, his pants got caught in the doors, he was dragged across the platform and fell onto the rails.
It was just before midnight on Thursday night when the drama unfolded. According to the New York Times, the man was about to exit the Q Line at Avenue M station in Midwood, Brooklyn. His pants got caught in the doors, he was swept away and thrown onto the rails – right in front of an oncoming train.
It is therefore not yet clear whether the man, whose identity was not yet known on Thursday evening CEST, was caught by the second train. The seriously injured man was taken to Maimonides Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead around 1 a.m.
The subway line was interrupted for about three hours between Kings Highway and Prospect Park.
