The focus of the case is on a suspected protection racket in September 2023 in a nightclub in Upper Austria. At around 2 a.m., the group gathered in the DJ’s room, who was then brutally beaten. The local leader, who had been surrounded earlier, was then attacked. While the victim was lying unconscious on the ground, he was allegedly kicked by at least four Hells Angels.
The giant and other members of the rock group have been in custody since October 2023. “Given that the legal validity of the present indictment was already established on April 4, 2024 and that the delegation of sentence was not followed by a Supreme Court ruling, but that the main hearing has not yet begun, this is a significant shortcoming in a detention case in the decision of the Vienna Supreme Court, which ordered the immediate release of the giant and his partner.
Lawyer Andreas Mauhart: “We are pleased that our arguments in the indictment have been presented to the judge.” The German, represented by Philipp Wolm, has pleaded not guilty to the charges: “He has a flawless alibi.”
